I received the following additional information for the St. Clair Place Home Repair Program:

Indy-east Asset Development has partnered with Riley Area Development Corporation to provide funding for home repairs to homeowners in St. Clair Place Neighborhood.

The applicant must be listed as the holder of the mortgage or deed of trust. Rent to buy, land contracts, and lease to purchase are also not eligible forms of ownership for the program.

Property taxes with the City of Indianapolis must be paid to the most current assessment. You must have a property tax statement demonstrating payment included in your application. Household incomes must be at or below 80% of the Area Median Income. This includes the incomes of spouses, adult children, friends and relatives residing in the home.

Types of Repair

The homeowner repair program is designed to address safety and health issues. Types of eligible repairs include: roofs, gutters, windows, furnaces, plumbing, electrical, wheelchair ramps, sidewalk repair, masonry repair, façade improvements, and siding. Other repairs will be considered under each individual circumstance.

Repairs that are not eligible are: demolition of any structure, fence repair, landscaping, carpeting, and interior painting.

Enclosed are an intake application and documentation checklist. All required materials must be returned to myself, so that we may determine your eligibility, and if appropriate begin with the repair process.
